Position Summary

Tek84 is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the company’s technology vision, product innovation, and long-term technical strategy for advanced security screening systems. This role will have executive ownership of X-ray equipment technology, intellectual property strategy, and New Product Development (NPD), driving differentiation, scalability, and sustained market leadership. The CTO will oversee all engineering and technology disciplines, partnering closely with the CEO, CRO, Operations, and Product Management to translate business objectives into a robust, defensible, and scalable technology roadmap—from concept and invention through commercialization and lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

Technology & Engineering Leadership

- Own and evolve Tek84’s overall technology and innovation strategy aligned with business growth and market expansion. - Lead, mentor, and scale a multidisciplinary engineering organization including hardware, software, systems, and imaging. - Establish engineering standards, governance, and accountability while fostering a culture of innovation and execution excellence.

X-Ray Systems & Technical Authority

- Serve as the company’s technical authority on X-ray equipment, imaging systems, detectors, radiation safety, and system architecture. - Guide architectural decisions for complex electro-mechanical, imaging, and software-integrated systems. - Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and certification standards applicable to X-ray and radiation-based equipment.

New Product Development (NPD)

- Own and continuously improve the end-to-end NPD process from concept, prototyping, and validation through production ramp and commercialization. - Drive disciplined design practices including DFM, DFT, reliability, and scalability. - Balance speed-to-market with performance, quality, cost, and regulatory compliance.

Intellectual Property & Patents

- Define and execute Tek84’s intellectual property strategy, including patents, trade secrets, and freedom-to-operate analysis. - Partner with external counsel on patent filings, portfolio management, and competitive IP analysis. - Ensure innovation efforts strengthen Tek84’s defensible market position.

Executive & Cross-Functional Leadership

- Act as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to business strategy, capital planning, and investment decisions. - Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Service to ensure technology aligns with customer needs and go-to-market strategy. - Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to executive, board-level, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Experience

- 15+ years of progressive engineering and technology leadership experience in complex hardware or manufacturing environments. - Significant experience with X-ray, imaging, or radiation-based systems strongly preferred. - Proven leadership of New Product Development for complex electro-mechanical systems. - Experience building and protecting IP portfolios through patents and proprietary technology.

Technical Expertise

- Deep understanding of X-ray system design, imaging technologies, detectors, and system integration. - Strong background in electro-mechanical systems, embedded software, and imaging pipelines. - Expertise in product lifecycle management, DFM/DFT, and regulatory compliance.

Leadership & Business Acumen

- Executive-level leadership presence with strong decision-making and communication skills. - Ability to align technology investments with revenue growth, margins, and competitive positioning. - Experience working in growth-stage or scaling organizations preferred.

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s degree or PhD preferred.

Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Representative focused on the public safety sector. As an Account Executive - Northeast, you will be pivotal in driving sales growth and expanding our customer base within the public safety industry. Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve or exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and market penetration within the public safety sector.

Qualifications

The Tek84 Director of Operations is key member of our leadership team and a person who possesses a broad foundation in supply chain, vendor management, warehouse, logistics, capital equipment manufacturing, and operational quality & safety. This position is a stabilizing force in the Organization by exemplifying a calm, mindful, and responsive demeanor. This person is driven by delighting internal & external customers and energized when their staff and processes are visibly and continuously improving. Building, growing, and empathetically coaching each member of the Operations Team is essential to creating a function that is efficient and adaptable to all operational situations. Demonstrating exceptional resource efficiency and rapid work throughput with sound judgment and closed loop systems are paramount. This individual shall have a healthy and constructive sense of skepticism to ensure accurate work is always performed. This role oversees the entire Operations Function and is accountable to ensure Tek84 products are produced to the highest quality & safety standards, regulatory compliance, and to the lowest reasonable cost. This position is accountable for the functions of Supply Chain, Purchasing, Planning, Assembly, Warehouse, and Order Fulfillment. This person shall actively collaborate with all cross-functional departments, partnering most closely with Commercial, Engineering, and Service Teams. The Director of Operations shall be fluent in the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for all products and establish, execute & report on well-crafted ERP, MRP, Lean, and supply chain strategies to continuously improve product quality, decrease product cost, and maintain fulfillment expectations. Impeccable inventory control discipline and visibly maintaining a “5S” manufacturing environment are paramount. And foremost, the Director of Operations shall ensure a safe working environment. TACTICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Maintain a clean and efficient operations work environment, e.g., Lean 5S
  • Develop and own the department budget and objectives that align to the corporate initiatives via cascading SMART staff goals
  • Manage Operations personnel and capacity

JOB DESCRIPTION BRIEF Tek84, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior IT Network Engineer who will play a critical role in driving our technological growth and market adoption.  This is a hands-on and customer-facing role requiring expertise in physical and cloud network infrastructures, security, and solution deployment project management.  This person excels at internal collaboration, external customer relationship management, solution integration within customer IT network infrastructures, IT documentation and general project management.  This role will report to the COO with strong matrix alignment and collaboration with the Engineering, Operations, Sales, Training, and Service Departments.   TACTICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Lead the design, configuration, implementation, and project management of customer-facing products deployed in customer IT infrastructures.
  • Serve as the primary internal and customer-facing cybersecurity subject matter expert (SME), ensuring IT systems adhere to industry best practices, security requirements, and meet compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2)
  • Apply working knowledge of physical, virtual, and cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) regarding product design, integration, debug, support, and documentation
