LEWISTON, Idaho – “With drugs and contraband coming into the jail, in order to keep the facility safe and secure, this is a huge tool we are able to use,” Nez Perce County Detention Sgt. Joseph Broemmeling said.
During the first use of the Nez Perce County Adult Detention Center’s body scanner, they came across several pieces of contraband concealed in the individual.
“We were able to find three baggies. One baggy contained tobacco. One baggy contained three grams of meth and another substance, and another baggy contained a syringe,” Sgt. Broemmeling said.
