Steuben County is making its jail safer for the people who are housed or work inside of the Bath correctional facility.
A new body scanner was installed at the jail this week. According to the sheriff’s department, the Tek84 Intercept is the most advanced x-ray body scanning system for the detection of weapons, drugs, cell phones, and other contraband in seconds.
